A+ Certification is a CompTIA-sponsored testing program that certifies the competency of entry-level computer service technicians.

A+ Certification signifies that the certified individual possesses the knowledge and skills essential for a successful entry-level computer service technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry. The program is backed by major computer hardware and software vendors, distributors, resellers and publications. In a recent survey of more than 10,000 certificate holders, most candidates for certification said attaining the credential would help them to land their designated job because an employer would be confident that their general knowledge had been tested. Candidates feel more qualified with the A+ Certification, attain a higher salary, find thatmany companies require A+ certification, and discover the certificate helped them to change careers. Above all, candidates feel the credibility associated with certification is its greatest attribute.
